The Essential Lead is made using durable mil-spec webbing to create a lightweight yet heavy duty, tactical dog leash designed for Military (MWD), Police ( LEO), Search and Rescue (SAR), and Schutzhund (IPO) Working Dogs.

Stainless Swivel Snap

Our custom standard swivel snap is black coated stainless steel. The round slot design allows for an additional 180 degrees of movement—this means the lead can articulate on a double axis to further reduce tangles or accidental un-clippings.

Upgrade: Kong Frog with Swivel

This climbing rated hardware uses a redundant release mechanism, meaning both release tabs have to be depressed simultaneously to open—this prevents accidental unclipping of the lead. An in-line swivel is added to help prevent tangles.

1.5" Clip-In Point

This Daisy Chain style clip-in point allows for a standard climbing carabiner to be used as a secondary clip-in option.

LARGE HANDLE

Integrated 7" long handle easily accommodates large gloved hands.

Upgrade: Embroidery

A personalized name can be added with embroidery.

Great leash, long wait

Great leash! Really well thought out and feels nice to work with. However, the multi-week wait for an item sewn with just 9 bar tacks is a bit long. I understand the made to order mindset, but an express deal for simple items like this would be helpful.

Thanks for the review. Unfotunately we do have manufacturing times that are roughly 3-4 weeks at the writing of this response. All of our products are handmade to order, so once an order is received it goes onto our queue and orders are fulfilled in chronological order. This is the most fair way as everyones order is completed at roughly the same duration. We understand how that may be frusting for products that seem more simple to produce. Our leadtimes can fluxuate and we are constantly working at trying to reduce them as much as possible. GREAT LEAD

Was told about this company and the quality of the gear from another handler in the K-9 unit. Decided to give them a try. I now own a 4ft, 6ft and 15ft lead. By far one of the best leads out there!!!! Money well spent and great quality. They stand up to the demands my Mal puts on them.

Best leash on the market

I got my first leash 5 years ago and use it everyday, unfortunately I left it on the push bar of my cruiser to dry in the sun after washing it and drove home forgetting about it. I'm still hoping to find it when the snow melts but I ordered another to replace it. Quality is out-standing, hardware holds up - never jammed or got loose. Best leash company for working dogs hands down.

Top notch lead! We'll definitely be ordering more from them when needed. The drag was the lead time for our lead. Modern Icon was upfront with the lead times but it was a bummer having to wait as long as we did. BUT wait the time we did beats order something from Amazon aka China. We love that MI is MADE IN THE USA!
