Thank you for the review.
Please note that these are very large collars (at almost 1.5 lbs and .25' thick) for the largest breed dogs. As silly as it sounds, we often recommend that customers 'create a collar' the size that they would like to purchase—for example, cutting a strip of paper 3' wide at the length needed and wrapping that around the dog's neck will give you a good idea of how big the collar will actually be.
Our collars measure true to size, meaning the interior circumference of the collar is the measurement listed as the size (as this will correspond to the neck circumference). We highly recommend taking an actual neck measurement (some customers try to use an old collar and the results are often inaccurate). To measure, just use a tailors tape (same that is used to measure for a suit). If you do not have a tailors tape you can use a piece of string that you later measure along a tape measure. Just wrap that around the dog's neck where a collar usually sits, and make sure you can get at least 1 finger underneath—that measurement will be the size you need to order. If you are between sizes just let us know and we can advise the best way to proceed.
With regard to the wait time, please note that we list our lead times on the product page, on the checkout page, and on the order confirmation email. We make every effort to meet or exceed those lead times. We know that it can be frustrating to wait an extended period of time and we appreciate your patience.
To put the collar on you will note there are 3 keepers. These keepers are to keep any excess of the collar tucked in (think of a belt in reverse). Please note these keepers are for aesthetic reason only, therefore you do not need to use all or any of the keepers. We recommend experimenting to see what works best for you. For example, you my find just using the furthest keeper is sufficient. Or you may find using the furthest keeper (1) and the closest keeper (3) is sufficient and you can skip the middle keeper (2). There is really no right or wrong way to do it. Since each dog has a different neck size, everyone may use a different set up. However, using fewer keepers (if applicable) often makes the collar easier to put on and take off. Please note the webbing will also 'relax' over time and will make the processes easier as well.
If you have any other issues with the collar please reach out to our support team and we will be happy to help as best we can. Thanks!
