The 1.75” Soft Dog Collar is a strong and durable tactical K9 collar made of mil-spec materials and climbing rated hardware. Used by professional agencies worldwide, this heavy duty collar is made for the toughest working dogs.
Designed primarily for Military (MWD), Police (LEO), Personal Protection, and Schutzhund (IPO) Working Dogs, the collar is easy to adjust and flexible.
ISC Klick-Lock Buckle
The Klick-Lock Buckle is redundant, meaning both sides have to be depressed to release the buckle and the release buttons are recessed which prevents accidental unclippings.
Stainless Steel V-Ring
Our black coated stainless steel V-Ring allows the handler to use any attachment option available including large diameter carabiners.
Upgrade: Loop Attachment Panel
An optional Loop Panel allows the handler to attach ID patches or accessories directly to the dog's collar.

I’ve been using both the Summit and Soft collars, along with the Coast leash, for about a year now—here are my thoughts.
I take my dog (a Bull Staffy Terrier—some call them Bullies) along the coastal breakers, where we’re dealing with slippery rocks, deep crevices, and constant exposure to saltwater. After going through a cheap collar, I realized I needed something I could truly rely on—something that wouldn’t stiffen, tear, or fail under those conditions. I wanted a collar I could trust with my dog’s life.
After doing some research, I came across Modern Icon and reached out to them directly. I explained the kind of terrain and activities we handle—hiking, climbing around rocks, and ocean exposure. They recommended the Soft Collar along with the Coast leash. I also picked up a Summit Collar (in pink) for everyday walks.
A year later, I’ve had zero issues. The Soft Collar still feels almost new, which is impressive considering it’s been exposed to saltwater, sand, and dirt on a regular basis. The coating has held up extremely well, even with it constantly getting knocked around on rocks during our outings. From what I understand, these collars are mil-spec and climb-rated, which definitely shows in their durability.
Safe to say, Modern Icon has earned a lifelong customer.
I knew when I brought home my second dog that I wanted to use Modern Icon! I’ve had this collar in Tan for about 6 years now and it still is practically perfect in every way even with the wear and tear. Purchasing this second one was a no brainer! It fits comfortably, is sturdy enough to handle dogs who like to play rough and tumble! This collar and many others will be a staple in my house!
1.75 soft collar
1.75” size seems the best fit for a medium or large size dog. I was able to fit the large one on my dog even if it would have been better a medium size due to a neck circumf. of 17-17.5 in. I feel confident it will stay on and also not unbuckle so I went from using 2 collars to 1 collar.
