Description
The Coastal Tab is a short BioThane® dog leash with the look and feel of leather. This synthetic material makes a durable, waterproof, and maintenance-free dog lead. We only use rust proof hardware so the lead is perfect for the water, whether at the lake or the beach.
Frog-Style Clip
Made of aluminum, this is our lightest weight attachment option and is inherently rustproof. This attachment option uses redundant release tabs that must be depressed simultaneously to open the clip. The design virtually eliminates the possibility of cross-loading and accidental unclippings.
Stainless Swivel Snap
Our custom standard swivel snap is black coated stainless steel. The round slot design allows for an additional 180 degrees of movement—this means the lead can articulate on a double axis to further reduce tangles or accidental un-clippings.
Upgrade: Kong Frog with Swivel
This climbing rated hardware uses a redundant release mechanism, meaning both release tabs have to be depressed simultaneously to open—this prevents accidental unclipping of the lead. An in-line swivel is added to help prevent tangles.
Upgrade: Add Ring
A 1" free-floating ring can be added to the handle. The ring can be used to attach a carabiner or our TDL shackle, or it can be used to clip in another lead (for additional length).
Upgrade: Embossing
A personalized option allows a name or other text to be embossed into the lead.

Sturdy
We wanted a short handle leash for when we are at the off leash dog park and this was perfect. It is sturdy and I don’t have to worry about it getting drug in the mud, but it still gives me a way to get control of my dog quickly.

It is very short, got it for one of my dogs, she was to short for the handle and my hand placement. Used it for my other dog who is taller. This one is shorter than the traffic lead. I like this handle for when I take my dogs inside stores that allow dogs. The brass clasp is a nice touch worth the price.
Patrol Lead
Great lead for patrol work. Solid construction and durable. Not sure if modern icon has a 6 inch lead that is just a single leather strand instead of a loop. That would be ideal also because my dog constantly steps into the loop when his head is down during searching.
