Camo Green wasn’t just a fan favorite; it was a staple. It was the first color our harness was offered in and a uniform requirement for many departments. For years, it showed up in photos of working dogs, handlers on deployment, weekend hikers, and everyday adventurers. But for the past few years, we had to remove it from our store. If you’ve been wondering what happened, you’re not alone.

Why We Removed It
A few years ago, we were forced to disable Camo Green as a color option on a number of our core products. The reason wasn’t a lack of demand; it was material availability in the US as mills stopped producing it. We couldn’t find a reliable, US-based source for the type of high-strength webbing we require in that color. At Modern Icon, we never compromise on materials or construction. If we can’t source something that meets our standards, we pull it. No hesitation.
That’s what happened here. And while we know many of our customers were disappointed, we also know they trust us with their K9 partners’ lives, and we are committed to only releasing the best products that meet the highest standards in the industry.
What’s Changed
Recently, we were able to secure a new US source for Camo Green webbing that passes our performance requirements. That means we can finally reintroduce this color across some of our most trusted products:

Why It’s (Still) a Big Deal
Camo Green has always been more than just a color. It’s a reflection of utility and legacy — a tone that feels grounded, tactical, and versatile. It’s also a nod to one of the main color ways of the GI (General Issued) gear that the Greatest Generation used in WWII.
Unlike high-contrast colors that can compromise concealment, Camo Green offers low-visibility performance — blending seamlessly in forest, urban, and transitional terrain. Whether you’re using your gear on duty or out on the trail, it blends in without disappearing and wears beautifully over time.
Many of our customers associate it with early days in their K9 careers, meaningful deployments, or their first real working dog harness. It holds weight. And for others, it’s simply a great neutral that pairs effortlessly with everything else they run.
A Word on Availability
We won’t sugarcoat it: just because it’s back doesn’t mean it’s here to stay. We hope to make Camo Green a permanent colorway again. But, due to the uncertainty around material sourcing, we can’t make any guarantees. That’s why we’re encouraging you to grab it while it’s available.
We’ll always update the product listings if anything changes, but for now, this color is considered a limited-run reissue.
