How do I remove a Modular Collar™ sleeve

Your Modular Collar™ is comprised of two parts: the inner core, which contains the buckle, v-ring, and adjustment webbing; and the sleeve, which is the outer covering and molle panel.

To Remove a Modular Collar™ Sleeve:

Step 1:
Remove the excess adjustment strap from inside the collar sleeve

Tip:

You can use a fingernail, collar adjustment tool (that came with your Modular Collar), or blunt object to expose enough webbing to grab with your fingers. Do not use a sharp object as it can cut or damage the webbing.

Step 2:
Completely remove the male portion of the buckle by feeding the webbing though the buckle slide adjuster

Step3:
Separate the hook and loop panels from under the female portion of the buckle

Tip:

To keep the panels out of the way, you can reattach the hook and loop UNDERNEATH the Modular Collar core.

Step 4:
Slide the V-Ring under the sleeve

Tip:

This part of the collar can be very tight. It is easiest to get the v-ring to the edge of the sleeve and then wiggle it slightly to get it under the sleeve. Once it is started you can proceed to the next step.

Step 5:
Pull the core from the sleeve

Tip:

Since the v-ring is the tightest part of the collar, it can be helpful to hold the sleeve above and below this area as you pull the core. Once the v-ring is completely exposed you can grab the sleeve on the far right side and just ensure the adjustment webbing does not get hung up.

To Apply a Modular Collar™ Sleeve:

Step 1:
Separate the hook and loop panels on the left side of the collar

Tip:

You will need to keep the hook and loop separated with your hand.

Step 2:
Start the core into the sleeve by tucking the excess adjustment strap around the end of the core

Tip:

The excess adjustment strap must be tucked under the end of the core. Otherwise the webbing will bunch inside the sleeve.

Step 3:
Feed the core into the sleeve until the v-ring touches the sleeve

Tip:

It can be helpful to squeeze the top and bottom portion of the sleeve so that the core can slide through unobstructed. Please ensure that the core and/or adjustment webbing does not protrude out of any of the laser-cut slots in the sleeve—if that happens just back the core out slightly, adjust the sleeve and then continue feeding.

Step 4:
Feed the v-ring into the sleeve

Tip:

This is the tightest part of the collar. It it helpful to make sure the v-ring is facing right. Once the v-ring touches the sleeve you can start the v-ring under by slightly lifting the sleeve and wiggling the v-ring under. After the v-ring is started, it can be helpful to hold the sleeve at the top and bottom of the v-ring with your right hand and push the core into the sleeve with the palm of your left hand. Ensure the v-ring is as far right as possible.

Step 5:
Secure the hook and loop panels under the female portion of the buckle

Step 6:
Determine the slot used for sizing and pull the adjustment strap though the slot

Tip:

To determine which slot to use for your adjustment, please see the Modular Collar sizing guide. You will insert the collar sizing tool through the slot, all the way to the end of the sleeve. Hook the end of the adjustment webbing onto the sizing tool. Then pull the sizing tool and webbing through the desired slot.

Step 7:
Thread the webbing onto the male portion of the buckle
